TURBO NEWS NETWORK: Take time to stop and smell the bacon . . . . . . . . .

Thursday, May 31, 2007

Humans are a strange bunch. I heard on the news that a bunch of human pups are having a week long competition to see how many different ways they can spell "B."

I think this shows yet another way that humans are stupid!

I think there should be a National Wooing Bee:

ALEX TREBEK: Turbo, please spell "WOO."

TUBEY: Woo, W-O-O. Woo!

ALEX TREBEK: That is correct! Lex, Please spell "WOOOO."

LEX: Woooo, W-U, woooo.

ALEX TREBEK: No, I'm sorry!

I am ending this post with a fantastic new picture of me that my Human took this weekend.

Canine Anti Defamation Society

I'm starting a group called the Canine Anti Defamation Society. My Human bought some Beggin' Strips. I admit they are tasty, however I hate that the commercials claim that "dogs don't know it's not bacon." You know what? I can tell it's not bacon! It doesn't taste like bacon, it tastes like something else. And it doesn't smell like bacon either!!!!!!!

Humans have a product available to them that is very similar to Beggin' Strips...it's call Bac-o's. You may have noticed that the commercials for Bac-o's don't say "humans don't know it's not bacon." Maybe humans think Bac-o's are bacon. Who knows????

I'm going to end this chain of though by pointing out that humans actually have a product called "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter." I've forgotten which of the Army of Four once stated that he or she can believe that it's not!

Next time I am on a tirade, I will discuss humans using the word for female canine when they are insulting women.

Repeat: Timing Belt or Siberian Husky?

This entry is a repeat of one that I posted a year ago.

On Sunday of Memorial Day weekend in 1999, my Human was driving her car around noon and the timing belt broke.

On Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in 2000, my Human decided that Lex needed a friend. She went to the local animal shelter. She originally thought that she wanted to get a female, but none of them appealed to her. She then saw a dog labeled "Cochise." She liked him a lot, so she adopted him. Cochise became Misha Meep. (Below is Meepie's first photo after he came home.)

One year later on Memorial Day weekend 2001, my Human went to the local Farmer's Market and the animal shelter had an information booth. The woman who had handled Meep's adoption was working. My Human thanked her for helping out with Meepie. The woman said that the shelter had a red husky that they were calling Blaze. My Human decided to go over to "look" at the husky and to get information to help find him a home. She visited several times. No one was adopting Blaze, so my Human decided that if he was still there on Wednesday, she would adopt him. He was still there, so on Friday Fargo North Dogkota became a member of the family. (Below is the first photo of Fargo.)

My Human did not get a new Husky during Memorial Day weekend 2002. But that Sunday afternoon around noon her timing belt broke. This was especially stupid because her car had a rebuilt engine put in on the previous Thursday, but the mechanics put the used timing belt on her engine.

Since then my Human has not had to replace any timing belts and she has not added any Huskies during Memorial Day weekend. Now she tries not to drive anywhere at noon on the Sunday before Memorial Day.

Stay Tuned!

Roo Roo has been complaining that I haven't posted enough pictures of her lately. I'll do it, but I reminded her that she has her own blog and she can post what ever she wants there.

I'm "on assignment." But not the sort of "on assignment" that some stupid radio show hosts say they are on when they decide to take a day off. (My Human leaves the radio on a talk station when she gone...also when she's home...all humans are stupid!)

I'm working on an exposé on how humans are defaming canines! I think I'm going to start an organization to fight this. Let me just give you one example of what I'm going to talk about. "Dog's don't know it's not bacon!"

More later!

Mosquitoes are Stupid!

Mosquitoes are stupid! I've talked about them before, but I never pointed out that they are stupid. I should have, I guess I was being lazy then. I'm going to make it part of my presidential campaign to ban mosquitoes.

One of the benefits of having my Human around, however, is that they seem to like the taste of her better than us!

I was thinking about the cereal Lucky Charms today. My Human was eating some, and no she wouldn't share! Don't you think our food would be better with little marshmallows, too?

I need to make my Human take some more pictures of me! I don't have any new pictures of me, so here's one of Fargo, Meeps, & Roo looking out the window. You can compare it to a December 2006 photo of Roo and Meeps looking out this same window. Unfortunately we don't have any snow now.

Campaign Theme Song

I heard a rumor that there is some candidate out there somewhere who is hoping that people who visit her website can help her choice a theme song for her campaign. It seemed like such a good idea that I decided that I must have had it before her. So, please help me find a theme song for my campaign to be the next President of Dogcountry.

Please remember some of my platform ideas:

My speeches will be only a couple minutes long and will end with cheese and bacon for everyone.

I will be banning epilepsy.

I'm for dog school reform.

For more info on my campaign, please see my announcement.

7 Tubey Facts

As I mentioned in my last post, Tierre tagged me to list 7 things about me...

1. Meepie, Lex, and Fargo are all irritated at me. For some reason they don't like my attitude. They are all stupid!

2. I like walking on my Human. Especially when she's in bed. I like using her body as if it's a balancing beam.

3. I prefer to be near my Human than running around with the others in the big field. Sure, I'll run around in it for a while, but I'll go back in the house to be near my Human.

4. I live in a house in the country. A animal rescue group houses some of their cats out here. They have several in foster care, but some of them live here too. I don't get to see them, but I can sometimes smell them.

5. I usually don't like in between meal snacks.

6. I sleep on the bed with my Human more than the others. Sometimes Roo Roo does and sometimes Meepie does. Fargo will sleep on the couch with my Human, but he says the bed is too high for him.

7. Although I'm not particularly destructive, I do like stealing the oven mitt if my Human is careless with it. (She usually isn't.)

Sunday Night

First of all, who ever can identify where the words at the top of my blog page came from gets to earn a reward. The reward is that I get to eat a treat. I think that's a great reward!

Second of all, Tierre has tagged me to come up with 7 things about me. I need a day or so to think about it.

Third of all, I'm starting to think about who will be my running mate in my Presidential campaign. There's a lot of good dogs out there to consider. It's a ruff decision because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Except maybe Lex. He's not going to be my running mate because he's stupid.

Fourth of all, I don't get what the difference is between a melon and a squash. They are both roundish things that grow on vines. And they both have seeds in them. I think they are the same things, but stupid humans just came up with 2 different words to confuse everydog. I propose that they should be called squelons or melshes.

Collar Time

Zim of the esteemed Army of Four posted about their collars. I made a comment about my collar and was thusly requested to show my collar. In the spirit of generosity I decided to show all of our collars.

Roo Roo's

And Fargo's

We all wear Lupine collars. One of the benefits (to humans) of Lupine collars is that if they get chewed up, the store the collar came from will replace it for free. My Human has had to replace more than one collar over the years...mostly Meepie's.

Still Catching Up

I'm still catching up from my hiatus. Indy tummy tagged me a while ago. Now, I don't sleep on my tummy, but Roo Roo does. So, see the tummy photo of Roo below.

My Human brought home pizza tonight...BUT SHE DIDN'T SHARE!!! Can you believe that? I can't.

My Human ended up with her first flat tire on the newish husky mobile this week. The olde husky mobile used to get the flat tires all the time, so my Human is just thrilled that she hadn't had one since October of 2006. (Please note that she got the new husky mobile on October 12th. Between October 1 and the 12th she had 3 flat tires.

I don't want you to do without a picture of me today, so here's a couple:

Back On Line!

I'm back online at home! I've got a lot of catching up to do. I'll post more tonight. Wooooooooooooooooooo!

More Stuff

My Human got groomed last night. When she got home I smelled her head. I like smelling her head after she's been to the human groomer. They use all sorts of stuff that smells.

Some stupid humans think it's okay to shave their huskies down in the summer. I think we need to shave our humans down in the summer.

The stupid no internet thing at home should be resolved soon. Maybe I'll be up and running as soon as tonight. We'll see.

We were all sad to read of the loss of our dear friend Fu Fu.

What else? What else?

I don't know.

Woo at you later.

My Human was slow this morning...and stupid! But it benefitted me. She was making herself a breakfast sandwich. She took the bread out of the bag and dropped her hand low enough that I could grab it. BREAD! YUM!

Update on the stupid modem problem--My Human should have it taken care of mid week next week. So look more more Tube Wolf communication soon!

Last night I more or less reenacted this classic movie scene. My Human made spaghetti, and by-dog I decided I was going to get some!

Rain, Rain, Stupid Rain!

It rained a lot yesterday, and it's going to rain some more today and tomorrow. I was in my box because I'd yelled at Lex for causing it to lightening & thunder. So it rained so hard that the water started coming into my room. I could have floated away! My Human had to suck all the water out of that room with the stupid Shop Vac.

Here's 2 pictures of stupid rain water. Please note that the house is not where we live. It's on the property, however.

World of Stupid

Why, oh why does it have to get hot? Why can't we have snow all year long?

I've been thinking about the humans' stupid languages.

Someone who is hopeless is without hope. But someone who is reckless is not without reck, or even without wreck.

And then there's the definiate article: the. There's a store called THE Home Depot. It's not just Home Depot. I heard a commercial that was talking about how you could go online to get the address of "your local THE Home Depot store." Pup, that sounds stupid!

Home Life

For those of you in a multi dog family, who follows your human(s) the closest? I admit that I'm the one who keeps closest track of my Human. You never know what they'll do without you! Last night while I was temporarily outside my Human slipped and fell in the kitchen. Fortunately for her Dr Meep was there to make sure she was okay. My Human is sore, but nothing is really injured.

And this morning Lex caught another stupid no-possum. Of all the stupid animals out there, no-possums are the stupidest!

BTW, I found another blog that I love. Go visit Hobbes!
