Huskies vs Tigers

woo!

My Human is stupid. Everyone knows that huskies are better than tigers. Way back when my Human was a younger human, she had to choose which university to attend. She was looking at schools whose mascots were hawks (the entire bird), cardinals, hawkeyes (not the entire bird!), and a stupid tiger. For reasons known only to her, she chose the tiger school.

Finally there is going to be a showdown of epic proportion. This Saturday some huskies will be battling my Human's stupid tigers in a basketball game. My Human will be cheering for the stupid tigers. I will, of course be cheering for the huskies.

My only concern is that humans created the rules of the game of basketball. The huskies that I know don't like playing with balls and don't like stupid human rules. I think the huskies will have the best chance of winning if they destroy the ball and rip the baskets to shreds.

Baseball is Stupid!!!!

.

I was thinking about the fact that baseball is stupid! It's yet another sport that doesn't have any teams named after dogs!

So this year the stupid "World" Series is between stupid birds and stupid cats. Not much of a world if you think about it. What if there was really a sport with Tigers playing with Cardinals? I guess that the Cardinals would win 'cause they can fly away. Tigers can't fly!

I guess we're supposed to be cheering for the birds at our house 'cause they are more-or-less our local baseball team.

You can tell how excited Meepie and Roo Roo are. They can hardly contain their enthusiasm.

Humans get worked up about the stupidest things...

Husky Logo #24

.

Today I'm waving my paw towards Kiska, the mascot of Dieruff High School in Allentown, PA.

According to their website:

Dieruff's mascot, the Husky, was named Kiska in 1959 in order to honor the dog and ten men of the American Naval Weather Detachment who were captured by the Japanese on Kiska Island in 1942. Today, Kiska IV is eight years old and reside with retired instructors from DHS. At the May 2005 Kiska Dance, student raised money in order to care for a feed Kiska this year. The dog makes appearances at every important high school event or activity, and is much loved by Dieruff students, past and present.

And, the huskies of Adopt-A-Husky have stopped by this school to give their support! The students of this school give a lot of help to Adopt A Husky.

(Some of the students at my Human's alma mater helped save some stupid tigers. They should have been helping the huskies, too!)

Northeastern Husky Revisited

King crowned big dog on campus - Campus Life

I found this article while playing online. Each thing that I read makes me love Northeastern University more and more. I especially love this quote:

"Having both Paws and King as mascots is great. One can dance around to excite the crowds, while the other attracts attention and develops excitement by representing a real Husky and being [petted] by people," Hackmeister said.

If only my Human had had the foresight to go to NU rather than that stupid Mizzou with their stupid cat mascot.

University

Our Human spent a few years getting a degree at the a university in the middle of the United States. She occasionally likes to take us to walk around on the campus. You never know who you might run into. The photo on the left was taken with Thomas Jefferson. The one on the right is Fargo with Beetle Bailey. Thomas Jefferson was once the humans' President. Beetle Bailey is a graduate of this university, but he attended there before our Human did.

When my Human was at school, she knew the human who would dress up as the mascot, a big stupid cat. After he graduated, he got to dress up as a big wolf for some team somewhere. A definate improvement.

I may be enrolling in a study that their Vet School is doing on canine epilepsy. I have seizures occasionally and apparently so do some of my brothers and sisters. I'm not in bad shape, but I'd prefer not doing it at all.
