Nicknames

My Human calls me by many, many different names. Of course my registered name is Huricane Akara Turbofire. So she calls me Turbo, of course. But she calls me a bunch of nicknames. Tubey, Tube Wolf, Stinky, Little Guy, Junior, etc... One of my nicknames (Tubey) sort of came from something. My Human spends time reading and posting on a website that has a mascot called Tubey. What is it with humans and their stupid websites?

My Human calls us by our nicknames at least as often as (if not more frequently than) she calls us by our real names.

Lex is Lumpy, Louie, Loopie.

Misha is Meepie, Moopie, Mookie.

Fargo: Cowboy, Barko, Cow Pops.

Aurora: Roo Roo, the Little Girl.

Niki: Noodle, Needle.

I won't write what we call her!

My humans also give me lots of names... to the point that I get confused.
some of them are: Monstra (monster - ´cause I am big and a bit clumsy), Fofa and Fofinha (cute), Mosa and Momosa (short for "mimosa" which means "sweet", "delicate"), Docinho (means sweet too)... And other names I can't remember now... But my favourite nickname - and the one which tells more about my personality is Tsunami ;)
Liks,
Raisa

Our Human is amazed that we pick up on which dog has which nickname as quickly as we do.

Of course there is no good reason why she calls me "Stink Wolf." No good reason at all!

ha ha ha! my peepol call me 'stinky' too. i dont reely care if they want to call me that, just as long as they dont take it too far and give me a bath!

sometimes the peepol call me girly, or sweetie, or fluffy-butt. my favorite name of all is when they call me 'dogfood for dinner!'

Ivy, one more thing...I love your site and I'm going to add a link to it on my site. Last week (and this week) I spent a lot of time visiting one of your links (the squirrel name one). I made lots of squirrel names for my house mates and people my Human knows. One of her bosses' squirrel names is "Admiral Drunkenpaws." It fits!

My Mum calls us all sorts of things too. She often calls me “Bunny” because I hop when I run, or “Tira Lira”, or “Tira Lira Lie” (some Irish song, she tells me), Elaine gets called “Lainey”, which is lengthened to “Lainey-Bainey”, and Amarok gets called all sorts of terrible things like “Schmuck”, “Schmuckie”, “Schmooshie”, “Schmooshie pants”, and the occasional expletive when he whacks into me and knocks me over. Our feline sibling, Belfast, gets calls “Smellie-Bellie”... There really is a lot of nastiness inside that mother of mine!

"Stinky" seems to be a common dog nickname. I take it as an endearing term. So glad it makes people happy when we dig holes or roll around in the mud.

By the way, the password verification today is "escny". Escape New York? Why? My plan was only to junp the fence and escape the backyard. Who told them?

Oh, I have so many! My registered name is Indigo Blue Eyes, so technically Indy is a nickname. Then there are: Indy Pindy, Indely Pindely, Indy Poo, Poot Blossom (dad came up with that when I had an upset tummy and some gas issues), Fuzzy, Fuzzy Butt, Killa, Bubba, Indinana, and the latest is my LEAST favorite. I got mad when dad put a hat on me. Mom said not to put hats on me. Dad said "But he could be Jewish, and then he'd have to wear a yamulka." Now he calls me Indeluh and talks to me with a funny accent. Humans are SO WIERD.

"Poot Blossom." Yeah, humans are weird!
