After all the nose discussions that have been held by D'Azul, the Ao4, and others, I thought I'd toss a picture of Meepie in here to show you his snow nose.

In other news...

It's supposed to be 93 stupid degrees today! And then it is supposed to storm! Add banning lightning and thunder to my list of things I'll ban when I'm president!

Star of the Show

I was so proud of my niece, Selena, at the dog show on Sunday. When the younger human took her into the ring Selena decided that it was the perfect time to take control. The judge was wanting to look at her teeth and Selena saw the perfect opening to go for a run. She slipped out of her collar and ran around the ring a few times. She was able to elude the humans who were trying to capture her for a few moments. Then Selena lulled them into a false sense of security and let them grab her. But when the younger human was trying to put the collar back on her my niece went for another spin around the ring without her. Everyone loved Selena's behavior and cheered as she ran. Selena tried to persuade the other huskies in the ring to join her, but they were scared they'd get in trouble. The humans eventually captured her, but it took the judge and the younger human a few minutes before they weren't laughing so that the show could continue.

Unfortunately my Human was laughing too hard to get a picture.

My Human went back to the dog show today. I will report tomorrow about the excellent job my niece, Selena, did in the ring. She stole the show! Also, Preston did an excellent job in the Rally he was in. He didn't sit, lie down, or stay at any point his human told him to. It doesn't get much better than that! (Except, of course, for my niece's performance!) Both Preston and Selena did the breed proud!

To summarize just about every blog: HUMANS ARE STUPID!!! I don't even think I need to give examples because Meeshka, Charlie, Dusty Doodles, and many, many others have excellent examples!

Switching gears...the stupid weather is supposed to get hotter again! It's probably gonna be over 90°F this week! I don't want that!!! I hope all the Kansas dogs are okay. I saw on the news that it was over 90°F yesterday!

Finally...Is synchronized sleeping a sport?

The weather is definitely getting better. Cooler days and cooler nights are visiting. But, as my nephew Eddie pointed out, it's darker later in the morning now. My Human has been squawking about putting our pool away for the season, but she is still too lazy to do it. Granted, we've not been using it as much...BUT STILL!!! I've been hoping for an ice rink this winter.

The fleas have stopped being a pest to us. (Thanks Frontline!)

That stupid Lex missed where he was peeing and squirted into the house. Since then we've been peeing inside the doorway. My Human got out the cleaning stuff this morning and cleaned that area pretty thoroughly. I tried to tell her that I didn't have a problem with the way it had been smelling, but she didn't listen to me!
