Today is the day we all look forward to: It is pool filling day!

Here are 2 pictures of me:

Husky Pool Party

.

So we technically don't have any snow. All the white stuff you see in the photos below are ice pellets. I don't really care what it is as long as it's cold! But here's the really stupid thing: when it was ice pelleting last night, it was also lightninginging and thundering! I definitely do not approve of that and that type of activity will be banned when I'm President!

Anyway, below are some pictures of the pool party we had today:

And Roo Roo wanted me to remind you that she's still cute:

Pool Party!

.

You know what's better than playing with my new Cuzes on my bed? Playing with them in my pool!

Even Lex had a good time:

Pool No More

.

Roo Roo wants you to take a peak at her blog today. She has some pictures of herself with a Bur Acorn.

My Human took the pool away. She babbled something about 50 degree nights...I think that's a really stupid excuse. So here's a picture of me in the pool at night:

Cooler

.

The weather is definitely getting better. Cooler days and cooler nights are visiting. But, as my nephew Eddie pointed out, it's darker later in the morning now. My Human has been squawking about putting our pool away for the season, but she is still too lazy to do it. Granted, we've not been using it as much...BUT STILL!!! I've been hoping for an ice rink this winter.

The fleas have stopped being a pest to us. (Thanks Frontline!)

That stupid Lex missed where he was peeing and squirted into the house. Since then we've been peeing inside the doorway. My Human got out the cleaning stuff this morning and cleaned that area pretty thoroughly. I tried to tell her that I didn't have a problem with the way it had been smelling, but she didn't listen to me!

Tubey, "to be," 2B

I've been wanting to use this heading for sometime, but it really doesn't have anything to do with this blog entry.

We've been doing a lot of digging in the big field. We were doing some excavation along the fence line, and do you know what my stupid Human did then? She filled a bucket full of our dog poop and then poured it into the nice trench we were making. She doesn't respect our craft!

Tall Grass Short

Tyler, my Human's employee finished shortening all of the grass in the big field. We enjoyed watching him work, but we hated the noise that the grass shortening machine made. He has a husky of his own, so that's why my Human knew that he'd be a good choice for the job.

After my Human got home, she let us run around in the big field and swim in our pool if we so chose. Lex and Niki didn't really like running around, but the rest of us did. At first we had a race. Roo Roo was the champion of that. She wanted me to show you the above photos of her winning the race. (And the below picture is Niki & Lex retreating to the house.)

There are few things happier than huskies running!

We didn't find any animals in the field, but Fargo said there was a mole or something under ground. He tried to dig it up, but it didn't stick around.

Pool!

Well, my Human finally put the pool out. We had a good time in it yesterday morning, and of course we decorated the sheets afterwards. The weather turned really hot yesterday, and it's supposed to stay that way for a while. It rained hard yesterday afternoon. I had to spend time in my box because I was yelling at Lex, telling him it was his fault that it was thundering.

My Human has to go back to work today. I think she needs to get one of those jobs where she can hang out at home all day.

No Pool Yet

My Human still thinks it's too cool to put out our pool. It's getting warmer, though. She has a couple days off this week, so she may put it out soon. We love getting in the pool, then digging, then running into the house. Then we'll hop on the bed. My Human likes putting a plain/solid sheet on the bed, but we like adding patterns to it.

You'll notice in this old photo that Meepie is standing in the pool, but poor unfortunate me is watching from the inside of the house.

Night of a Thousand Bugs

Because it was hot last evening, my Human left the doors wide open. This was an invitation for thousands of bugs to come in and fly around my house, land on my carpet, and land on my Human. I didn't get to see all of the bugs up close because my Human stuck me in my crate because I was telling Lex that he was stupid. Aurora said that they didn't taste very good. Most of them were these little dark bugs about the size of a grain of rice. Meepie said that he didn't know for sure what they were, but said they were annoying. My Human tried to vacuum them up.

Ticks are stupid, too. We got some on us and brought them in the house. Our human had to get rid of those, too.

It's going to be hot again today. My Human has NOT put our pool out yet. I think we're all just going to sleep today.

No Snow!

It never really snowed this year, and now it's 88 stupid degrees outside!!!! Who was the idiot that said that could happen? No one is fessing up to that, so I'm blaming Lex. And tomorrow it's supposed to be 90 stupid degrees!!! I am an angry and vengeful Tubey! I am going to make my Human set the swimming pool up for us. (And by us, I really mean me!!!!!!)

In other news, my Human gave me a new nickname: Redbud. On the right is a photo of me a redbud tree. I ask you, do I look like a stupid tree?

Warmer

It's getting warmer here in the middle of the state of Missouri. We can hear the little frogs peeping and the geese honking. When it's warm enough and my Human is home, she keeps the doors open and we can run in and out of the house as much as we want to. There's a lot of stuff to do outside. And lots to smell. When it's warmer, my Human will put out or little swimming pool. I love getting in it and then playing in the dirt and they running into the house and hopping on the bed!
