I just realized as I was posting this, that this post is #900.

So, my Human is on vacation this week. So far what that means is that she's watching a lot of HGTV, cleaning, and complaining.

Last night some stupid storms were blowing into our area. There was some of that stupid lightning stuff. Lex gets freaked out by it. So I yelled at him. And then my Human stuck me in my box. She let me out and I yelled at Lex again. Thus, I had to go back in the box.

My Human didn't fall asleep till 4am. But it didn't matter to me. I still got plenty of sleep. I don't think there is any cause and effect between me and her lack of sleep. But when I was in my box, she kicked everyone else out of the bedroom and shut the door. We all sang a sad Siberian song about that.

It's been rather warm lately. So the stupid spring peeper frogs have been making a lot of noise. Lex hates those frogs. He's been hiding in my Human's bedroom. I yell at him about that, too. And then I have to go in my box.

Last weekend my Human went to a dog show. She got to meet a Siberian Husky and an Afghan Hound both named Pearl. And she got to meet a Bassett Hound named Gotcha.

After the dog show, my Human brought her workplace assistant to meet us. She was great because she let us jump all over her.

By the way, my Human startled me with a really weird noise on Saturday night when her stupid striped C-A-T-S (or Khats, if you speak Khyraese) scored a safety against the birds of Kansas. Look, I was sleeping. She should have been more considerate! Anyway, her stupid striped whatevers are now ranked #1, or #2. Mostly #1, though. Whatever that means...

Questions Not Asked

Tonight I'm going to answer a question that I've not been asked.

Q: What are the 2 the stupidest things your Human has done that impacted you?

A: Thank you for that well thought out question. One night she forgot to feed us. She realized we hadn't been fed the next day when she emptied the dishwasher and found our bowls in it. She knew she hadn't washed the dishes the night before!

Then another night, she sort of woke up and let us go outside. Lex came back inside and my Human closed the door with the rest of us outside and went back to sleep. When she woke up that morning, she was surprised that Lex was the only dog inside!

Still No Fun!

This morning I let my Human sleep in until the very generous hour of 4AM before I started practicing my Human Balance Beam routine. Look, as a candidate I am expected to be in top physical condition, not to mention that I'm training for the Furniture Olympics. So I thought that I was giving my Human a break by not walking on her until 4. But of course she had to get all stupid. She made me spend the rest of the night in my box at that point!

In other news, Roo Roo took the covers off of my Human this week during the night. We are all proud of her!

In other news part 2, pop in to Mary-Margaret O'Brien's blog. She lives in Southern California and she is reporting on the fire there. I think she should win the Puplitzer Prize for her reporting.

No Fun!

(Please note that this photo was not taken last night.) My Human is no fun. Which of course means that she is stupid. Last night she forced me to sleep in my box at about 3AM. She thought that I was being inappropriate. I thought it was a good time to walk all over her. I also thought it was a good time to yell at Meepie.

My Human thought differently!

So I had to spend the rest of the night in my box and Rooie had to spend the rest of the night in her box.

And that stupid Lex got to sleep near my Human!

But I did decide that my theme song is These Boots Were Made For Walking. But I've changed the lyrics:

Waking...

Get this! So last night my Human was sleeping. I thought it would be really funny if I stared at her till she woke up. So I got really close to her face and stared. She woke up and I acted like I was happy to see her. She let us go outside to pee. (Sidebar item: there were no stupid no-possums out there last night.) We all came back inside and we all went back to sleep.

So then an hour or so later I stared at her again till she woke up. Same thing as before.

And so I did it again maybe 2 hours later and again we all went outside. And came back in and went back to sleep.

Finally I was staring at her and she woke up, but didn't get up. So I decided to was a good time to practice "walk on the human balance beam." That's my newest Sibe Olympic sport. She got up then!

We laughed about my Human all day!

Why?

Why is it okay for humans to disturb our sleep, but they get bent out of shape when we wake them up? This morning we woke my Human up at 5:30am. She let us out and back in. We all went back to sleep. Then we woke her up at 6:30am. She opened the door for us to go out and in as we desired. We all went back to sleep. Then about 7:30am, we decided that she'd slept long enough! She's lazy!

We've been waking my Human up at 2 in the morning to let her know that there is a stupid cat or no-possum out on the deck. We thought she'd want to know. Turns out we were wrong. Who can figure out humans?

To summarize just about every blog: HUMANS ARE STUPID!!! I don't even think I need to give examples because Meeshka, Charlie, Dusty Doodles, and many, many others have excellent examples!

Switching gears...the stupid weather is supposed to get hotter again! It's probably gonna be over 90°F this week! I don't want that!!! I hope all the Kansas dogs are okay. I saw on the news that it was over 90°F yesterday!

Busy Day

I'm pretty busy today doing the things I am doing today...zzzz...Oh, anyway, here's a photo of me and Fargo to entertain you:

Sleeping + Walking

My Human occasional will get up and do things while she's [at least mostly] asleep. Once she got up and let all of us outside (except Lex who stayed inside) in the middle of the night, and then she went back to sleep. Pup, was she surprised when she woke up to see is outside looking in at her!
On another occasion, my Human got up during the night, walked across the room and turned the radio not only on, but to a different station than it had been set to.

Last night she sleep-turned-the-air-conditioning-on. Since Friday, our temperatures have been quite nice. Our low last night was around 60, so we didn't need the air conditioning to run. Now, I don't mind it being cooler, but my Human sure was surprised to see it on and the windows open this morning! The unit is high enough that she knew we couldn't reach it, so we weren't to blame.

Stupid Noisy Thing!

That stupid thing that makes a lot of noise in the morning and wakes us up yelled for an hour and 7 minutes before my Human made it shut up! We've gotten pretty good at ignoring it, but still!!!! It was Fargo who finally woke my Human up by poking her!

And then my Human didn't take the time to play with us and let us watch that stupid TV before she left for her stupid job!

I could have woken her up sooner to make that stupid thing shut up, but I was in my box. All because of that stupid Lex, of course!!

On the Furniture

I have read in the comments that some unfortunate dogs are not "allowed" on the furniture. Well, at our house we sometimes allow my Human to get up on the furniture. She had to get new sofa-couches so that she'd have a place to sit. She actually likes sleeping on the floor a lot of the time. She says that it makes her back feel better. Sometimes we sleep on the floor with her, and sometimes we sleep on the sofa-couches and/or bed. We have a lot of choices.

Sorry that I didn't have a new blog entry yesterday. I had to spend all day at a stupid meeting. I didn't learn anything of any value. Meetings are stupid!

And for those who care about this sort of thing, I spoke too early about the stupid birds in the attic. They're back!

And finally, who is this "Microsoft" and why do they keep wanting me to restart my computer?

#1 Search Term

The number one search term that has led many readers to my blog is "birds in attic." Just this morning I had 2 hit on this very subject. Now, I didn't have any advice for the readers on what to do. I think that my birds flew away because I don't hear or smell them any longer.

It stormed a lot over the weekend. There was a lot of that noisy, stupid lighting & thunder going on. We all slept a lot yesterday to make up for the night before.
