Another One

woo!

It's a great day. It's...

Yes, it has been 3 years. I've appreciated all of the love and support of all of you through these years.

I thought I'd do a little synopsis of what I've done during these years:

My first blog entry was February 28, 2006.
The first time I called something "stupid" was on March 2, 2006.
We had a record amount of snow on December 1, 2006.
Dr. Meepenstein's medical practice expanded on December 28, 2006.
I announced that I would be running for President on January 23, 2007.
My first Presidential Primary victory was on January 9, 2008.
On February 23, 2008 I began my trip to Switzerland to discover what had happened to the cheese that was missing from the holes in Swiss cheese.
March 2, 2008: TurboVision quest begins.
I had a khampaign stop at the Pottsville, PA Sonic on March 27, 2008.
I became Dr. H.A. Turbofire on May 18, 2008.
I made the announcement of who my running mate would be on August 23, 2008.
The Sibertarian Khonvention began on September 5, 2008.
On November 1, 2008, my historic and award winning debate with the stupid D. Animal occurred.
Election Day was on November 4, 2008, but sadly dogs were turned away from the polls.

I promise you that my blog will have showcase my adventures in the year to come.

But first, a picture of me:

Ruffians

woo!

So, my Human stopped by Petco on the way home tonight to get Griselda Gecko some crickets. (Or "sound crickets" as she accidentally called them on that stupid Facebook thing.) But more importantly, she brought me a new toy.

It's called a Ruffian. It's made by those company who make the Cuzes. It's made of the same stuff that Cuzes are. It squeeks like the Cuzes, too! Mine is the Octopus. On the picture it is orange, but mine is green like the turtle thing.

My Human was unable to get a picture of me playing with it because she couldn't find the camera. I don't want you to feel like you're missing out, though. So below is a picture of me as a puppy:

Fixing Things

woo!

(Please note that this is not either of the actual handyhumans who came to our house to fix things. It's the house, but it is a reenactment.)

We had to have a couple guys come to our house and fix things that Roo Roo and my Human broke. I think that I neglected to blog that Rooie had broken the bedroom window when a stupid no-possum walked by. It was kind of scary with all that broken glass and my Human yelling for Rooie and me to "leave it." I just stared at her like she was crazy.

(This is the window Roo broke from the inside:)

All of us canines got to run around in the big field for a long time so that the handyhumans could fix things without us interrupting. Then the handyhumans went to the store to buy things. My Human still kept us out in the yard. We were ready to come in, but we still had to stay outside. Eventually my Human let us back into the house. I yelled at Lex because he was stupid, so my Human stuck me in my box.

When the handyhumans came back, all the other dogs got to meet them. I didn't because I was still in my box. Rooie was helpful. She took one of the boxes to the yard to destroy.

I want to give you an example of why Lex is stupid. He whined the whole time the handyhumans were around. One of the handyhumans asked my Human if Lex had a touch of arthritis and if that was why he was whining. My Human said no. That it was just something Lex likes to do.

Glorious News Of A Defeat!

woo!

D. Animal is dead! It could not survive the wrath of 5 Siberian huskies. Let this be a motivation for all of you who reside with the dreaded and stupid Dyson.

All it took was 4+ years of fluff and pee to kill the beast.

And we will never have another vacuum ever again. The house will have an ever increasing layer of husky fluff.

Oh, what's that? My Human has something to add:

I will be getting a new Dyson. There will not be an ever increasing layer of husky fluff in the house. And, besides that, I have a substitute industrial strength vacuum.

Humans are stupid!!!

Rooie Says

woo!

My room mate, Aurora "Roo Roo" Borealis agreed to answer my query of what she thinks the most stupid thing about Humans is. She would only do this if I showed you some pictures of her. She didn't want anyone to forget how hot she is.

Anywoo, here is her #1 reason that humans are stupid:

Because English speaking humans have co-opted the word "bitch" to be a negative insult of female humans.

What's Up

woo!

There is a stupid raccoon in our attic.

We know this because it stepped on the ventilation panel and almost fell into the house.

Here's a picture of me being cute and not looking at a stupid raccoon:

Television Show Review

woo!

Today I watched a TV show that had a lot of promise. At first I excited because I thought it would be about a group of mules or donkeys. The show was called:

But then I was disappointed because the show was about humans. Hee Haw, as it turned out, was about these humans who lived in a ficticious rural place called Kornfield Kounty.

But I gotta tell you that the show was really great. I think, if fact, it was about the place my Human grew up in. The episode was filmed in 1969, so she would have been 3 or so at the time. I didn't see her in the episode, however.

So why do I think this show was great? Because the humans were so stupid. Incredibly stupid in fact. It was nice seeing humans in their natural habitat.

There were a lot of stupid jokes and singing on the show. Not nearly enough dogs, however. I saw only one dog, a Bloodhound named Kingfish the Wonder Dog. He seemed to be snoozing. Nice work! What a thespian.

There was one song that I liked a lot, however. It was a very sad song that could have been sung everyday by dogs when their humans drive off to wherever they go:

Where, oh where are you tonight?
Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the world over and I thought I found true love.
You met another and pfft you was gone.

Pippen Tagged Me

woo!

The lovely and talented Pippen of Pippin's Gentle Blog tagged me. Here's what this game is about: You go to your computer archives and then go to the 6th folder and pick the 6th picture and then post it along with the story behind it.

Look! It was all of us at the time, sort of:

Rooie is in the left side of the picture. Fargo is on the carpet, closest to Rooie. I'm using Fargo's leg as a pillow. Part of Lex is in the upper right corner. Meepie's hiney and snooter is in the lower right corner.

I don't know why my Human took this picture. Perhaps it was a poor attempt to get all 5 of us in the picture. Or, more likely, she just thought I looked cute resting my head on Fargo.

Now I'm tagging 6 bloggers:

Khyra
My cousin Sitka, niece Cornelia Marie, and their cat (who I'm not related to)
Holly, my niece Khady Lynn, and the rest of the pack
Ender the Eskie
Mary-Margaret O'Brien
Maya-Marie

Woo to one and all!

It's Snow Fun

woo!

So it snowed. Not enough, mind you. But I'll take what I can get. My Human was able to leave work early so she could play with us and take pictures.

If you click on this picture, you can see me, Rooie, Meepie, and Fargo better:

This is what Lex was doing. He's a loner.

The snow wasn't very deep. But we were able to stick our snooters in the snow:

Here's what my face looked like after I good done:

Fairness

woo!

I read this article today about how some human scientists did this big study on whether or not dogs could tell if something was fair. Here's what they did. They'd tell a dog to do something stupid like shake hands with the human and then if that dog did that, then the dog would get a treat. Eventually the scientist would pick on one dog and not give that dog a treat when he (or she) did the stupid trick. The scientists were all impressed that the non-treat-recipient dog would wander away and not participate in the experience.

There was a quote in the article that I thought was really stupid. (I put the emphasis on the most stupid part.)

One thing that did surprise the researchers was that—unlike primates—the dogs didn't seem to care whether the reward was sausage or bread.

Possibly, they suggested, the presence of a reward was so important it obscured any preference. Other possibilities, they said, are that daily training with their owners overrides a preference, or that the social condition of working next to a partner increased their motivation regardless of which reward they got.

And the dogs never rejected the food, something that primates had done when they thought the reward was unfair.

The dogs, the researchers said, "were not willing to pay a cost by rejecting unfair offers."

Clive Wynne, an associate professor in the psychology department of the University of Florida, isn't so sure the experiment measures the animals reaction to fairness.

"What it means is individuals are responding negatively to being treated less well," he said in a telephone interview.

Isn't this what "fair" means?

There was one part of the article that I like a lot. I am emphasizing my most favorite part here:

Those that refused at the start—and one border collie that insisted on trying to herd other dogs—were removed. That left 29 dogs to be tested in varying pairs.
